MY ROLE
As the lead designer, I harnessed proprietary technologies, initially developed for our existing retail clients, to build a comprehensive e-commerce platform for future clients. My primary focus was on the 'Associate Application,' a pivotal component used by in-store associates to enhance customer assistance.
CHALLENGE
Our challenge was to revolutionize retail spaces, transforming them into 'stores of the future' by seamlessly integrating various technologies—beacons, mobile apps, web apps, displays, and point-of-purchase systems. The goal was to create a modular solution that allowed any retail company to leverage their existing technology infrastructure to kickstart their journey on our platform.
SOLUTION
We devised an associate application that streamlined customer service. Associates could queue customer requests, enhance them by scanning products, check inventory, and provide real-time product information, all without leaving the customer's side. Additionally, this application enriched customer profiles with valuable data to deliver personalized service beyond the store visit and upon return.
